Fun with bean bags — Assembling your Jaxx and Zak products

January 4th, 2008

So you’ve ordered a large bean bag from the Jaxx or Zak line…or maybe Santa sent you one this year because you were a such a good elf…and now it has arrived. You look at the box full of parts and you are wonder, “what the heck am I supposed to do with this?” Well, I’ll tell you that if we had sent it to you fully assembled, the FedEx driver would not have been too happy with us (or you), and shipping the bag would have cost as much as the product itself. So vacuum-packaging is a great solution.

All Jaxx and Zak bean bags come with instructions for assembly, but they do not include which pods go in which bags. Some of you eager beavers might have gotten a little too excited and you unpacked all your bags at once, laid everything out on the floor, and then realized you did not keep the pods of compressed foam together with the correct covers! Before you call us in a panic, take a look at the following list to find your bean bag and determine the correct amount of foam for each one. You can still call us in a panic, but maybe it will be to tell us how excited you are about your sweet new bean bags.

Product Pounds of Foam
3-foot Sac 25 lbs
4-foot Sac 32 lbs
5-foot Sac 41
6-foot Sac 75
7-foot Sac 100 lbs
8-foot Sac 150 lbs
5-foot Lounger 41 lbs
6-foot Lounger 57 lbs
7.5-foot Lounger 82 lbs
Zleep Twin 25 lbs
Zleep Queen 41 lbs
Zleep King 66 lbs
Cocoon 41 lbs
5-foot Sphere 41 lbs
6-foot Sphere 75 lbs
Sphere Ottoman 8 lbs

All foam comes in 8 lb, 16 lb, and 25 lb Capsules. So if your product calls for 41 lbs of foam, that would be (1) 16lb and (1) 25lb Capsule. If it’s a 57 lb item than it’s (2) 16 lbs and (1) 25lb Capsule.
